Wolfgang See - Scalaria AirChallange

From the 7 th to the 9 th of July, on the Wolfgang Lake near Salzburg was held the first edition of the Air Challange at the event resort the Scalaria www.scalaria.com in collaboration with Red Bull, where some magnificent exemplary of restored airplane from the section of the Flying Bulls they showed in several flights. To be mentioned the B25 Mitchell, the DC6 belonged to general Tito, the Caravan amphibious C-208. The two amphibians of our club have joined, the Lake and the Maule after a flight into the high and the low engadin, a Twin bee, a Maule M5 on floats, one splendid beaver amphibious, an amphibious Piper PA18 and some amphibious ultralights. This first edition has been exploratory and the organization thinks for the next year in greater way with presences of more aircrafts and amphibians of all Europe .

June 2005

Greece

The Amphibians plane Lake I-AQUA with crew formed by Cesare Baj, Mario Pittorelli, Ross Baj, Mirella Pittorelli and Maule I-SEAP with crew formed by Silvia Antonini, Roberto Ruberto, Vincenzo Schettino has left for a journey to the Greek islands. After a stop in Fano, Brindisi they arrived in Kerkira-Corfù. They continue then for Mikonos where they stopped for some days. Next was Santorini where in formation the Lake and the Maule entered in the Caldera approaching the airport. After Santorini, was Karpatos which is the more isolates extreme point of South Greece and to southern point never reached from an aircraft of the aero club Como . The return was via Kerkira-Corfù where the two crews went for different routes, the Maule continued for Brindisi and Olbia (Sardinia) and the Lake, after a short stay in Kerkira, returned to Como . The two crews has flown a total of approximately 30 hours reaching magnificent places and many technical flights for the pilots. An article published by Volare will follow.

Election 2005

The general meeting of the Aero club of Como with a presence of members never seen in the history of the Club , has voted the new articles of association of the club based on the new type from the Aero Club of Italy. Afterwards the elections of the new directive board in substitution of the one decayed after the entrance in effect of the new one and the approval of the 2004 accounting figures.

Maule M7-235B
During the month of June 2004 the Maule has arrived in flight from Canada . Carried out by our member Roberto Ruberto together with a Canadian pilot currently is in fleet with Canadian registration C-GLAP waiting to be certified it in Italy with registration I-SEAP. The plane has encountered a lot of success among the club members where they appreciate its remarkable STOL capability and good handling on waves. The flight over the ocean was possible due to the long rang tanks that this model has for a total of 85 gallons of av-gas that concurs an endurance of 8 hours of flight. . Rievocazione Fratelli Wright
Il 17 Dicembre 1903 il flyer dei fratelli Wright spicca il volo per 12 secondi che cambiò il corso della storia. Da quel giorno il mondo diventa più piccolo l'aviazione inizia i suoi primi passi da gigante. Per commemorare io 100 anni da quel volo l'Aero CLub Como ha organizzato con tutta la sua flotta un decollo contemporaneo alle 16.35 (ore 10.35) negli Stati Uniti costa est, che si è svolto normalmente suscitando molto interesse ed approvazione.
